Russell T. Spadaro

Russell Spadaro received his Bachelors Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and his M.D. from Albany Medical College, in 1983 through a combined 6 year BS/MD program.  In medical school Dr. Spadaro met Betsy Weisz, who was to become his wife and partner.  While in Albany, Dr. Spadaro also did research on brain swelling in head trauma. From Albany he and Dr. Weisz moved to California for Pediatric Internship and Residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, from 1983 – 1986      

Because of his strong interest in Pediatrics and Neurology, Dr. Spadaro then did a two year fellowship in Child Developmental at Children’s Hospital University Affiliated Program (at CHLA and USC), acquiring expertise in children with developmental and behavioral problems.  In addition, he spent time working in the Children’s Hospital emergency room.           

Dr. Spadaro worked at Hawthorn Community Medical Group in the San Fernando Valley for 5 years then spent 2 years at Briarwood Medical Group in Thousand Oaks, before joining North Oaks Pediatrics in 1993.  He has been in the same location ever since, and was a founding member of Oak Tree Pediatrics and More when North Oaks Pediatrics disbanded in 2008.

Dr. Spadaro is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  He lives in Thousand Oaks with his wife Dr. Betsy Weisz-Spadaro and his two daughters, Melanie, who is attending the University of California at Berkeley, and Nicole, who attends Westlake High School.

Betsy Weisz graduated from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1979 and received her MD from Albany Medical College four years later.  While in medical school, Dr. Weisz met her future husband, Dr. Russell Spadaro.  The two then did their pediatric training together at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

After residency Dr. Weisz worked for CIGNA Healthcare in the San Fernando Valley where she eventually became the Chairman of the Pediatric Department as well as the Pediatric Department Head at Medical Center of North Hollywood.  In 2001 Dr. Weisz joined the staff of North Oaks Pediatrics.  In April 2008 Dr. Weisz became a founding partner at Oak Tree Pediatrics and More.

Dr. Weisz is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She is an active member at Los Robles Hospital and is currently on the Medical Executive Committee.  She is also bilingual in English and Spanish. 

Drs. Weisz and Spadaro live in Thousand Oaks with their daughter, Nicole and their dog, Boots.  Their older daughter, Melanie attends UC Berkeley and hopes to attend veterinary school at UC Davis in the future.

Larry Spinner received his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating Magna Cum Laude and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  He attended medical school at the State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, graduating in 1984.

Following medical school, Dr. Spinner moved to California and completed his pediatric residency in 1987 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.  He has been in full-time pediatric practice in Thousand Oaks since 1989 and was board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1988.  He also served as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Los Robles Regional Medical Center from 1996-2000, as well as on the Medical Executive Committee at Los Robles.

Dr. Spinner has lived in the Conejo Valley since 1990. His wife Audrey Spinner works with him in his practice and they share their home with their four children and 2 dogs.

 

Amy P. Lin M.D.
Family Physician

Amy Lin received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Riverside in 1998 and her Medical Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine in 2001 through a combined 7 year BS/MD program.  She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Northridge Hospital Medical Center in 2004. 

After finishing her residency, Dr. Lin worked in Oxnard, California with Buenaventura Medical Group (a large multispecialty group) for 2 years.  In 2006 she joined North Oaks Pediatrics here in Thousand Oaks in order to focus more on preventative health with special attention to teens and young adults and to allow her to be closer to her husband and home in Moorpark.  She continued on with this practice when it became Oak Tree Pediatrics and More in 2008.  She and her husband also welcomed their daughter into their family 2008.

She is board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of both the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.  She is on staff at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.
